Flours

Three different kinds of flour: Wheat flour Type 550 (left), wheat flour Type 1050 (middle) and rye flour Type 1150 (right).

Flour is the finely ground powder of grains, seeds or roots. It is usually white or whitish in colour, but depending on the ground material, grey or brownish hues are not uncommon.

Therapeutic value[]

Flour contains some Vitamin B1 and B3. However, as the vitamins are degraded somewhat in processing, flour contains significantly lower levels of vitamins than the grains from which the flour is made.[1][2]
